Incredibly proud to receive the SammenomJOB award once again! 🙏

For the second year in a row, we’ve been recognized by Social og Arbejdsmarked Kolding for our commitment to social responsibility.

This award honors companies that actively work to create an inclusive job market, focusing on diversity and opportunities for all.

Kåre Møller, Business Consultant at Kolding Municipality, shared the following about the recognition:
“We’ve had a long-standing collaboration with Per Smed from the warehouse in Vamdrup, who is always ready to offer job trials and internships to individuals facing various challenges. Many of these initiatives have even resulted in permanent employment or flex jobs. Additionally, H. Daugaard as a whole fulfills all the criteria for receiving this award.”

Sustainable Jobs and Social Responsibility

Sustainable jobs foster diversity in the workplace and provide opportunities for individuals with special needs, including mental or physical challenges. They also help prevent stress and burnout. The key is tailoring tasks so that unskilled workers or those with limited work capacity can contribute while full-time employees enjoy a more balanced workday.

Beyond promoting social responsibility, sustainable jobs ensure that employees can thrive throughout their careers, benefiting both companies and staff.

Per Smed, Warehouse Manager in Vamdrup, is deeply committed to social responsibility and shared his perspective:

“We want to contribute to social responsibility because we believe that people in jobs start believing in their potential within the job market. The goal is for them to build confidence, break free from the system, and eventually secure permanent employment. We always strive to make room for everyone, regardless of the challenges they bring with them.”

How We Work with Social Responsibility: The 5 Criteria

Jobs for individuals on the margins of the labor market
⭐ We’ve hired several flex workers and continuously offer job trials and internships, many of which lead to permanent positions.

Retention and support for employees on sick leave
⭐ Our employees are the heart of our organization. We prioritize open dialogue and create personalized return-to-work plans for long-term absentees. When needed, we also help assess eligibility for flex jobs.

Employment for refugees and immigrants
⭐ Last year, we employed three skilled Ukrainian refugees for seasonal work at our Vamdrup warehouse. This year, we plan to hire even more. We’ve already re-hired one from last year who impressed us with their dedication and skills. Monthly status meetings with the municipality help us ensure the best possible conditions and job satisfaction.

Upskilling and competency development
⭐ We invest in our people. When we see potential in an intern, we’re happy to cover the cost of certifications, IT courses, or other relevant training that could lead to long-term employment.

Encouraging youth in vocational training
⭐ Currently, we have seven dedicated apprentices who are gaining thorough training and insights into the transport industry, giving them the best possible start to their careers.
